Hustings on Tuesday, November 20 at 7.45 p.m

By Tony Girard

Dear Member,

We are delighted to have attracted a potential Prospective Parliamentary Candidate to fight Arundel and South Downs Constituency at the next general election.
You will see from the enclosed Hustings and Candidate CV that Alison Bennet, a lively and determined person from our neighbouring Hassocks and Hurstpierpoint branch, is seeking your approval.

The Hustings Meeting which we have planned for Tuesday, November 20 at 7.45 p.m. at The Roundabout Hotel in West Chiltington will proceed and give you a chance to meet her, hear, her speak and question her and decide if you wish to give her your support.

This is no "coronation". This is an important vote to approve her selection or to reject her and re-open nominations.

It will be followed by a wine and cheese party at which we can get to know each other better and informally discuss how to fight the next general election - which could come sooner that expected given the uncertain political climate in Westminster over BREXIT.

For Chanctonbury Branch members only: We are holding our AGM at 7 pm - just before the start of the Hustings to elect our officers for the coming year and deal with any urgent business.

You will shortly receive a formal notice seeking nominations for the chair, secretary, membership secretary and five members of the executive.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

Please RSVP to DGPerry001@gmail.com or 07568069939 so we know how many to cater for.

Best wishes,

Tony Girard,
A&SD executive chair.
